ANTM’s Nyle teaches us all the most important sign language phrases
By Will Stroude
If you haven’t bee watching the 22nd cycle of America’s Next Top Model, more fool you, because you’ve been missing out on the eye-poppingly beautiful delight that is Nyle DiMarco.
The 25-year-old, who is the show’s first ever deaf contestant, has won over viewers with his positive attitude, rugged looks, and for basically dropping truth bombs on his predictably shallow competitors left right and centre:
“Being deaf has definitely been a strength for me in this competition,” the recent university graduate has said of his time on the show. “American sign language requires a lot of facial expression and using your body, and that’s what modelling uses also.”
With that said, as part of a recent interview with ET Online, Nyle has given us a tutorial on how to say some of life’s most important phrases in American sign language. Allow yourselves to be educated below…
We’ll let you decide what to do with that last one.
