Attitude Loves Thailand: 10 of the Hottest Thai men
Attitude’s new May Issue – available to download now – isn’t only about the All-American Hero Michael Sam, we’re also travelling the globe to bring you a special digital-only LGBT travellers’ guide to Thailand.
Inside, you’ll find everything you need to know about south-east Asia’s most gay-friendly of destinations, including a Lonely Planet beginners guide to Thailand’s most enchanting locales and essential information about the crazy capital gay scene in Bangkok.
We also explore Thailand’s open-minded to gender and sexuality, while Sink the Pink’s Amy Zing takes you on a tour of the country’s most unmissable islands. And thanks to our sister magazine Attitude Thailand, there’s also a little round-up of the country’s 10 hottest guys – you know, just so you can keep an eye out during your travels…
1) KARN GULANUPONG
Karn, a piano teacher, became a popular model when he first landed on the cover of The Boy Models magazine 7 – 8 years ago, and became even more popular among gay fans when he starred in his first hot gay film Gay-Wei-Huei. Karn’s cover of Attitude Thailand was their best-selling issue ever, probably because he wore tiny Speedos, cementing his status as a favourite in the gay community. He’s currently studying abroad, but we hope he comes back soon for an even more revealing shoot.
2) ANUPART LUANGSODSAI
Anupart Luangsodsai is a rising star from the popular gay teen series Love Sick, which is in its second series – his charm and hot torso have won our hearts. He loves being topless and also dares to wear super tiny swimwear in the film Water Boys. We can’t wait to see more about him when he grows up.
3) PRAMA IMANOTHAI
Prama, or Pan-Jan, is an ex-member of a boyband that’s always surrounded by throngs of screaming girls and gays. His acting career started by starring in the film It Gets Better where we loved him because of his typical Thai look and hot lean body. He went shirtless on the cover of Attitude Thailand front cover to promote the film, and what lies beneath does turn us on.
4. PHARUNYOO ROJANAWUTTITHAM
His bad boy looks make us desperate for a date with him. Sometimes he’s funny, sometimes he’s wild, but what really seduce us are the tattoos all over his body. Happily he’s also gay friendly, and was happy to pose in his pants for our second anniversary cover.
5. PUTTICHAI KASETSIN
PUTTICHAI is a DJ and actor who has exploded like a supernova right after being on Attitude Thailand’s cover, and suddenly became the subject of girls and gays’ attention. He’s the lead actor in a bunch of Thai TV series and soaps, with his Korean look, and tall and toned body making him stand out. Even though there’s gossip about him losing his temper with fans, we still love him
6) PIYA CHANASATTRU
Piya is an ex-member of Strikerz boyband, so he’s also known as Boy Strikerz. He’s also the first guy to go totally naked on our cover. His beautiful muscles and smooth skin make us fall in love with him, and inspired many people to start working out seriously. He’s now getting ready for Mr. Thailand competition. We’ll be voting for him.
7) JIRAWAT HEMANSUTIKUN
He won our second Straight Guy of The Year in 2012 and has been hot ever since. After that however, he went to study abroad, and even more shockingly enlisted in the army! Hopefully the experience will make him even fitter.
8) NAT SAKDATORN
Nat won True Academy Fantasia Season 4 (a bit like the X-Factor of Thailand), after which he released an album, starred in a TV series, and of course has an Attitude Thailand cover. We hope that his upcoming gay role in the film Fathers has a lot of love scenes. There’s a rumour going round that this film might be Nat’s coming out. Who knows?
9) TONI RAKKAEN
Toni is one of the three models who appeared on the cover of the very first Attitude Thailand. He’s a leading actor in a TV series Loma-Kla-Tha-Faan, chronicling the trials and tribulations of a swimming team. Even though he’s a very good actor, the thing we love most about him is hi mismatched style of dressing.
10. UTTSADA PANICHKUL
Uttsuda’s an ex VJ who turned to acting and modelling, and is one of the first models in Thailand who dared to do almost naked in fashion shoot. He’s another of the leads in the film Fathers, about gay adoption – it’s rumoured that he’s in fact Nat Sakdatorn’s lover. The film’s released in Thailand in mid 2016, so we’ll have to wait till then to find out.
Attitude Loves Thailand, in association with Centara Hotels & Resorts, is free with this month’s digital May Issue, available to download now at pocketmags.com/attitude. It’s also available to download separately, for free, from the Attitude digital app.
