Attitude’s on screen interview with Jamie Dornan
By Ben Kelly
Jamie Dornan has had a long rise to his current state of grace as the most desired man in the world. When he first appeared on the cover of Attitude in 2006, he was the new face (and bulge) of Calvin Klein; appearing in shots so glorious, some of us still have them as our desktop picture. Some of us.
After landing a role in Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, he moved over into acting, and starred as a handsome huntsman in US show Once Upon A Time, before terrorising Belfast in BBC’s hit drama The Fall. Now, he is stepping into the boots of Christian Grey; and not since the days of the Brontes have women fawned so spectacularly over a literary stud with a dark side. Jamie’s star is on the rise, and we’re behind him to go all the way. All the way.
Sitting down in the luxurious surrounds of London’s Claridge’s Hotel, Jamie spoke to Attitude’s Ben Kelly about character researching in dungeons, his notoriously sexy accent, and who he’d let give him a good spanking.
