A year to the day since the UK first went into lockdown, better days are on the horizon with the news that Channing Tatum’s Magic Mike Live is set to embark on a UK-wide arena tour in 2022 to bring us that (hopefully) post-pandemic lift we all crave.
The hit 18+ live show based on Tatum’s films Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL has been seen by more than 200,000 people since it first opened at London’s Hippodrome Casino in 2018, and is set to be reinvented on an even grander scale when its arenas across the country from May next year.
If you can’t wait that long, the original London show is set to reopen following pandemic-enforced closure on 21 May 2021 – and you can get tickets here now.
The Magic Mike Live Arena Tour – which organisers say will feature world class male dancers, live DJ and “incredible” visual effects – will open in Belfast on 6 May, followed by Glasgow, Aberdeen, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle, Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester and finishing in Liverpool.
Magic Mike Live Co-Director Alison Faulk said: “This is not Magic Mike Live with more seats. Our arena tour is something totally different… The show is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of togetherness, sexuality and freedom that only an arena can hold.
“We want our guys to give our fans the best night of their lives with a party they’ll never forget.”
