Justin Bieber gets dreadlocks, sends social media into meltdown
By Ben Kelly
Justin Bieber debuted a new hairstyle at the weekend, trading in his boy band blonde mop for dreadlocks.
The 22-year-old sported the new style as he took to the stage at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday (April 3), where he performed and was named Male Artist of the Year.
He also took to Instagram to share a few selfies of the new look.
Social media was of course alight with opinions, ranging from those who found it all a bit ridiculous, to those who accused him of cultural appropriation.

Why’d Justin Bieber have to go and dread his hair? Why’d he have to play everyone like that. Purpose was a good album.

Bieber himself was overheard saying,”[People say] you wanna be black and all that stuff, I’m like ‘its just my hair’.”
