Neighbours star Matt Wilson strips off on the red carpet
By Will Stroude
Matt Wilson has been enjoying a breakthrough year playing gay male stripper Aaron Brennan on iconic Aussie soap Neighbours, but it seems that his character’s lack of regard for suitable attire may have bled into real life.
Wilson was on the red carpet for The Loop Eleven at yesterday’s Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA) awards, where he inexplicably managed to make his suit disappear over the course of the evening.
Obviously we know that Matt’s no stranger to flaunting the flesh in real life either (as these head-turning pictures from his former career as an underwear model readily demonstrate), but we’re still unsure quite how he managed to expose that torso so quickly.
Admitting “strange things” happened on the red carpet, Matt posted a picture later showing him in nothing more than an unbuttoned waistcoat – improving the look considerably, we might add.
The 26-year-old even managed to get his torso signed by musical duo The Veronicas during proceedings (and in an unrelated but by no means unimportant note, had a phallus drawn on his right bicep along with the words ‘go see a doctor’ – points for imagination).

The former carpenter has also been reflecting on his breakthrough year on Instagram recently, sharing a picture of one of his more revealing costumes from his time on Ramsay Street just last week. Here’s to 2016.
