Russell Tovey is sorry his nipples put a man in hospital
British actor Russell Tovey has spoken about an unfortunate incident where a man fainted at the sight of his bare nipples while under the warm stage lights of Broadway.
Last week there was quite a commotion at the Lyceum Theatre as a pivotal scene in Arthur Miller classic A View From The Bridge required the 34-year-old actor to remove his shirt to reveal his glorious pectorals before an enraptured audience.
But it was all too much for one patron, Davin Cutchall, who fainted in the stalls and was taken to hospital by paramedics, where he thankfully made a full recovery.
“Sorry for disrupting the show tonight. I’m feeling better, now. You were great!” he tweeted at the time.
Tovey has now broken his silence on the incident, telling Heat magazine he wanted to publicly apologise for the overwhelming effect his body has had on people.
“On behalf of my arms and nipples, I feel the need to publicly apologise for the effects felt by one of our audience members on a dark winter night in New York City.”
Oh Russell, we forgive you. For the risk-takers among you, see if you can withstand a full blast of those nips below:
