Team GB divers get ready for Rio – PICS
By Will Stroude
With the Rio Olympics opening ceremony just 48 hours away, it seems high time we checked in with some of Team GB’s finest: namely, the diving squad.
Tom Daley, Chris Mears, Jack Laugher and more have been sharing pictures form their Florida training base over the last few days, and it looks like they’ve made a new friend in the form of Jamaican diver. Yona Knight-Wisdom.
While Jamaica has produced some of the finest track and field athletes the Olympic games have ever seen, this year the island is stepping into new territory as Knight-Wisdom becomes their first ever diver to take part in Olympic competition.
And it looks as thought the Team GB boys have been helping 21-year-old settle in to Olympic life:

Meanwhile, Tom Daley, who recently got his Olympic kit fitted on camera, posted a photo to Instagram of entire male British diving team with the Rio Olympic rings, with the caption “the Team GB diving boys, taking over the rings”.

They may have taken over the rings, but will they rule this year’s Olympics? Or will Jamaican Yona manage to snatch a medal for himself? We’ll see what happens when the games kick off, but for now, here’s a little taster of what we’ll have to look forward to…
