The coronavirus has caused enormous change to our daily lives: even going to work is different than before.
One of the biggest changes we’re all experiencing is in the way we connect with people, especially the people most close to us: our parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and other relatives. These are the people you miss the most. This is what we know.
But have we fully understood the toll the pandemic can take on our romatic relationships? When you’re with your partner 24/7, it the pressure-cooker of lockdown can lead to friction or a stalling sex life.
Keeping a relationship healthy, stable and fun during these times takes work, but luckily there’s plenty you can do to prevent a break-up. Here’s some advice…
Keep surprising each other
Before coronavirus, it was fun spending more time with your partner. When you were together, there were plans to do silly or romantic things: date night at a restaurant, surprising each other with sex toys as dildos to spice things up in the bedroom or simple little gestures.
As the daily toll and monotony of lockdown start to take a toll, that romantic atmosphere can begin to disappear as the element of surprise does.
Time to change things up! By surprising each other, you keep that sparks flying: Create a wonderful dinner at home, spice things up in the bedroom or even write a little note saying how much you love them. These little things matter. Don’t take his or her love for granted, but keep celebrating your life together – especially now.
More fun in the bedroom
Sex isn’t the most important thing in a relationship, but after some time, you may notice that things can begin to get a bit samey: The same positions, the same routine and even the same days can have an enormous negative effect on your sex drive and sexual satisfaction.
That’s why it’s important to try something new in the bedroom: Talk about sex toys, use anal dildos or vibrators, or try some new positions in bed. When experimenting together, you’ll grow closer with one another.
Exercise together
Experts fear that people are less active during lockdown: Our eating habits change (not for the better) and our daily routine is gone. Sitting on the couch all day can lead to lethargy in other areas, so try exercising from home or outside.
You can still exercise outdoors with members of your household or one person from another household, so why not include your partner in this?
By exercising together, you’ll spend more fun time with one another. Besides that, you’ll also keep each other motivated.
