The men of the Rugby World Cup Final: Australia vs New Zealand
By Will Stroude
England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland might be out of the Rugby World Cup, but that certainly doesn’t mean that there’s not plenty to look forward to come Saturday’s final at Twickenham, when New Zealand and Australia attempt to get their hands on the crown.
The match will mark the first time the bitter sporting rivals have met in a Rugby World Cup, so you can expect more testosterone-fuelled ball-handling and rougher scrummages than a Friday night at XXL.
With some of the best and quite literally biggest sportsmen in the world on display, we’ve come up with a handy guide to help you decide which team you should be throwing your own weight behind come the weekend. Let battle commence…
Victor Vito (New Zealand)
David Pocock (Australia)
T.J. Perenara (New Zealand)
Adam Ashley Cooper (Australia)
Dan Carter (New Zealand)
Israel Folau (Australia)
Sonny Bill Williams (New Zealand)
Tevita Kuridrani (Australia)
So who wins? On the basis of this, we’d say we do.
The Rubgy World Cup Final kicks off this Saturday (October 31) at 4pm at Twickenham Stadium.
