The Overtones guys talk sex, boys and bodies
In the current Hot 100 issue of Attitude, we speak with the gay three-fifths of man band The Overtones – that’s Lachie Chapman, Mark Franks and Timmy Matley – about life, love and boys.
All three of the lads made it into our Hot 100, and we feature them in a gorgeous shoot alongside some of the other gay celebs who placed in this year’s list: Duncan James, Charlie King and Lance Bass and husband Michael Turchin among them.
Check out a snippet of our frank chat with the boys below…
Attitude: What is ’sexy’?
Lachie: Someone who makes me smile, accepts me and likes my friends.
Timmy: To me it’s a quiet confidence. Not a cocky, loud person who’s letting everyone know they are in the room.
Mark: I like a blokey bloke. Someone with a good sense of humour is always a winner.
A: Sexual confidence is…
M: Being in good shape gives you an air of confidence! Oh, and a few larger tops.
L: Confidence. Sometimes it’s there, sometimes it’s not, and I guess you just gotta roll with that. Or vodka!
T: Self-belief; it shines through. Oh, I forgot, a bit of St Tropez always helps!
A: What do you find sexy in other men?
T: Eyes, intelligence and a nice, big smile.
M: Nice eyes, cute smile and broad shoulders. Basically, Hugh Jackman.
A: Do you feel pressure to look a certain way?
M: On a night out, on a photo shoot and on the beach there’s a certain pressure to look good. With a hangover at my local greasy spoon… Not so much.
T: For me, no, because the most important part of my body is my voice. If The Overtones were to do a Magic Mike style concert then I would definitely hit the gym more.
