The Pussycat Dolls have been announced as the first headliine act for Brighton Pride 2020 – and you can consider our wig officially snatched.

The newly-reformed girl group, led by X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger, will take to the main stage at the UK’s biggest Pride festival in Brighton’s Preston Park on Sunday 2 August in what promises to be an unforgettable performance.

It won’t be a fleeting appearance either, with the ‘Dont’ Cha’ singers set to deliver a full 75-minute set for their first ever outing at a UK Pride festival.

And with the sound of the group’s comeback single ‘React’ and equally fierce video currently echoing through the dancefloors of LGBTQ venues around the country, you can expect the atmosphere to be LIT in Brighton come August – and tickets are already on sale.

The Pussycat Dolls won’t be the only international superstars taking to the stage at Brighton Pride Festival this year, with organisers set to announce the headliner for Saturday on Friday morning (14 February).

With recent headliners for that particular slot including Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue, you can expect another jaw-dropping addition to the line-up…

Brighton’s annual celebration of LGBTQ love and equality will this year follow the theme of ‘Fabuloso’, as Pride-goers are encouraged to celebrate who they are over the weekend of Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August.

Paul Kemp, Director of Brighton & Hove Pride, said; “For our 30th anniversary we are really excited that LGBTQ+ icons The Pussycat Dolls will be headlining the FABULOSO main stage on Sunday 2nd August with a UK Pride exclusive performance.

“The Pussycat Dolls are the first of many artist announcements to come. Watch this space for loads of great LGBTQ+ performers and allies over the coming weeks.”

Building on the success of last year’s Queer Town and BAME stages, for 2020 Brighton & Hove Pride are programming even more new and exciting areas for this year’s Pride Fabuloso 2 day festival.

As well as the ever-popular Cabaret Stage, additional performance zones this year will include a Queer Theatre space, Spoken Word, The Catwalk stage featuring LGBTQ+ artists, and the opportunity for LBGTQ+ and QTIPOC performers to be an integral part of the UK’s biggest Pride Festival.
