For the first time in its history, World Pride is headed to America, and New York City is the host as the city marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots this June.
Events will be held at iconic spots citywide, from Times Square to Brooklyn.
Set in the middle of it all, “Lower Manhattan is the perfect place to base your stay when visiting New York. It offers a sophisticated escape, has over 35 hotels to choose from, is refreshingly walkable and just a short subway hop from all the World Pride events,” said Jessica Lappin, President of the Downtown Alliance.
Home to the Financial District and Wall Street, Lower Manhattan is now the place to be seen in the city.
Here’s a look at some of the most luxurious hotels in Lower Manhattan.
Consider a stay at the Four Seasons New York Downtown, a stately tower with sleek rooms, a 75-foot pool, restaurant quality room-service, and home to Wolfgang Puck’s CUT steakhouse.
The Beekman brings old-world glamor, modern rooms, and a sense of timelessness to Lower Manhattan, and is home to Keith McNally’s Augustine and Tom Colicchio’s Temple Court restaurants.
For NYC luxury living, try the AKA – there are two downtown. Both bring a sense of contemporary, minimalist luxury to each property’s 100+ apartments.
The AKA Wall Street is home to Bromberg Brothers’ Blue Ribbon Federal Grill, and AKA Tribeca houses Andrew Carmellini’s Little Park.
