A retired priest has been left homeless after his new husband ditched him.
Philip Clements, 79, married a Romanian male model, Florin Marin, 24, back in April in a private ceremony in Ramsgate, Kent.
The pair met on a dating website, but Phillip had kept his sexuality a secret from the community up until their wedding, when they made an announcement in their local paper.
However, according to Clements, things quickly went sour once the wedding was over.
Apparently, the retired priest has been left broke and homeless after Marin forced him to sell his home, move to another country and buy him a new house.
He also claims his younger husband went out partying all night and wouldn’t let him go with him because “it wasn’t for old people”.
“He said I wasn’t allowed to go clubbing. It wasn’t for old people. In my heart I didn’t accept it, but I trusted him. I left very sadly and very unhappy. My friends in England were telling me I should leave him but I left with a very heavy heart,” he told LADBible.
Clements is now having to turn to his friends to find a place to sleep until he can secure permanent accomodation.
“He came with me to the airport. I’ve lost everything really. I’ve lost my house and was in a poor state. I stayed with friends on alternate weeks until I was given a granny flat attached to one of my friend’s houses.”
