All-male version Hooters-style restaurant opens for business

By Will Stroude

An all-male, Hooters-style restaurant has opened its doors for business in Dallas, Texas.

Staffed entirely by hunky men in short shorts, Tallywackers is a bar and restaurant that serves up tasty food with a healthy side of man candy, after managers decided to make an all-male equivalent of the iconic US restaurant chain.

Plans for the restaurant were first brought to our attention last month, after the owners released images of the rigorous casting process on their Facebook page. The establishment also hosts a weekly ‘drag and dinner’ event on Fridays.

One waiter told KDAF that he was pleased with the working conditions, adding that he didn’t get as hot and enjoyed the “breeze”.

“I’ve had people come… multiple times. I’ve had a pair that came five times in the last eight days,” he informed the station.

Tallywackers is also getting a good deal of positive reviews, with one happy customer reporting: “I expected to see cute men, scantily-clad, and so far I’m not disappointed.”

“I think it’s about time men had a place to go to – gay men at least – instead of places like Hooters and Twin Peaks.”
