Amy Winehouse was ‘confused’ about sexuality after sleeping with female friend, according to BBC documentary
Reclaiming Amy, will look at the singer's life from her friends and family's point of view and aims to "reclaim" her legacy.

One of Amy Winehouse’s friends has revealed that the late singer was “confused” about her sexuality after the pair slept together.
Catriona Gourley has taken part in the new BBC Two documentary, Reclaiming Amy, which is being broadcast 10 years after the ‘Back to Black’ singer’s death. It’s the first time she has publicly spoken about the pair’s relationship.
The documentary, which looks at Amy’s life from the point of view of her close friends and family, will also look at the singer’s struggles with addiction.
Amy Winehouse died in 2011 at the age of 27 as a result of alcohol poisoning.

Speaking to the BBC for the documentary and quoted by Metro, Catriona says: “She used to write notes while I was sleeping, saying things like, ‘You are the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen,’ and, ‘How can you look as beautiful asleep as you do awake.’
“Our relationship was so unique. Undefined. We just loved each other very much and what I took from it, knowing her, is that she was confused about what it made her”.
Catriona also remembers that Amy said once said in an interview: “I’m not a lesbian until I’ve had three Sambucas.”
In a short trailer for the show Amy’s mum, Janis Winehouse-Cooper, says “she [Amy Winehouse] was prone to addiction. It’s a very cruel beast.” Mitchell Winehouse, the singer’s father, says they still get abuse from people who tell him “You killed your daughter”.
In the description for the documentary the BBC says that Janis, who lives with multiple sclerosis, and who will be narrating the programme, “wants to reclaim the legacy of her daughter, celebrating Amy as the complex, strong and incredible woman she was and giving a different version of events from the story of the singer so often told.”
The programme will make use of archive and never-before-seen footage as well as rare musical performances to offer a new look at the singer’s life.
