Anti-gay pastor arrested for child molestation

By Fabio Crispim

An Anti-gay pastor who tweeted a series of offensive tweets in the wake of the Orlando shooting has been arrested on child molestation charges.

The Huffington Post reports that pastor Ken Adkins, known for his opposition on LGBT rights, turned himself in based on incidents from 2010 which allegedly occurred in his own church. The investigation is still ongoing but his lawyer, Kevin Gough, believes Adkins will be cleared.

Gough said: “Warrants say that these events took place in 2010 and that’s a long time. We don’t know why they’re coming up now.”

Adkins made headlines around June in the wake of the Orlando shooting when he tweeted that the Pulse victims got “what they deserve.”

He wrote: “Been through so much with these Jacksonville homosexuals that I don’t see none of them as victims. I see them as getting what they deserve!!”

However he later claimed that the tweets had nothing to do with Orlando and they were meant for a Jacksonville group that were making his life a “living hell”.
