Anti-gay Republican caught having sex in office hooked up with men on Craigslist
Several of Goodman's past lovers have spoken out
Anti-gay Republican Wes Goodman allegedly used an alias on Craiglist to hook up with other men.
The Ohio state legislator resigned last month after he was reportedly caught having sex with another man in his office.
Now, some of his past lovers have spoken out. Former GOP congressional staff member Chris Donnelly claimed he met Goodman on Craigslist under his alias Brady Murphey.
Speaking to Cleveland.com, Donnelly revealed the pair had a sexual encounter back in 2008 after the legislator replied to a post on Craigslist for men seeking men claiming he was a “straight/curious” guy who needed to be discreet.

In an emal to Donnelly, Goodman wrote: “Maybe we can hang and see what’s up, no expectations really. But your post seemed cool so let me know bro.”
Donnelly also claimed that Goodman was “all over Craigslist” and frequently posted responses to Connelly’s ads as well as other gay men. He said: “It’s not like it was some one-off thing. It became a running joke between me and my gay friends on Capitol Hill.”
Johnny Hadlock, then a staff member for another GOP congressman in Washington, claimed the pair frequently sexted each other and participated in phone sex but never engaged in physical sexual acts.
“Wes never sexually harassed me – we both knew what we were doing and we were both fine doing it,” he said.
According to Cleveland.com, one conversation saw Goodman tell Hadlock he was in his underwear before asking if he was sexually aroused.
Meanwhile, an unnamed Conservative claimed that Goodman engaged in predatory behaviour towards younger men and propositioned them via texts and Facebook messenger.
He also claimed that Goodman would target college kids who wanted to have him as a mentor but were too frightened to report his sexual advances.
Goodman apologised in a statement after resigning and said: “For those whom I have let down, I’m sorry. As I move onto the next chapter of my life, I sincerely ask for privacy for myself, my family and my friends.”
