Attitude’s historic Prince William feature nominated for ‘Scoop of the Year’ at BSME Awards

The British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) Award nominations have been announced for 2016, and we’re thrilled to announce that Attitude is in the running for two gongs.
Recently-departed editor (now editorial director) Matthew Todd marks his final year in the editor’s seat with another nomination for Men’s Editor of the Year, having previously won the prestigious award in both 2011 and 2015.
Meanwhile, our July issue’s historic exclusive with Prince William, in which we facilitated a meeting between the Duke and 9 LGBT+ people to discuss the devastating consequences of homophobic bullying, has been nominated for ‘Scoop of the Year’.
Responding the the news, Matthew said: “The British Society of Magazine Editor awards are the most prestigious magazine awards so it’s always very gratifying to see a gay title recognised alongside the biggest magazine brands in the country.
“I’m proud that I’ve been recognised again in my last year editing Attitude and also that our historic cover story with HRH Prince William has been nominated for Scoop of the Year.”
The winners will be announced at the 2016 BSME Awards Dinner on Tuesday, 15 November at The Sheraton Grand London Park Lane Hotel, London.
