Australian rugby league ace gets tattoo in support of marriage equality

Greg Inglis of the South Sydney Rabbitohs has made his stance on marriage equality in Australia pretty clear by getting a tattoo in support of the cause.
The sportsman is now inked-up with two short parallel lines forming the mathematical ‘equals’ symbol. Showing some love for the One Disease organisation as well, he’s also had a dotted figure-eight done.
His support is not spur-of-the-moment, either: he’s been backing the movement for years.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who has a gay sister, has been dragging his heels with bringing his country up to date with the likes of the USA, United Kingdom and Ireland; but it seems demand for change is slowly but surely growing.
The country’s NRL (National Rugby League) is one of nearly 400 organisations that co-signed a letter calling for same-sex marriage to be legalised last month.
It’s been a big few weeks for rugby players and the LGBTQ community: here in the UK, the first rugby league and rugby union players have come out as gay – Keegan Hirst and, just today, Sam Stanley respectively.
