Barack Obama’s brother is supporting Trump because he’s against gay marriage
By Will Stroude
US President Barack Obama’s half brother Malik Obama has made it clear he’ll be voting for Donald Trump this November because of the Republican party’s opposition to same-sex marriage.
In interviews with Good Morning Britain and the New York Post, Malik sang the controversial candidate’s praises, saying: “Mr Trump is providing something new and something fresh.”
He added: “I feel like a Republican now because they don’t stand for same-sex marriage, and that appeals to me.”
The 58-year old continued: “My brother’s got this attitude, he’s the President of the United States… I’m just expressing my opinion.
“Honestly, I’ll be happy when my brother is out of office, and I will finally be out of the limelight and be able to live like a human being.”
Donald Trump naturally welcomed Malik’s endorsement, tweeting:
“Wow, President Obama’s brother, Malik, just announced that he is voting for me. Was probably treated badly by president-like everybody else!”
