Ben Hardy to leave ‘Eastenders’
By Will Stroude
Ben Hardy is leaving on Eastenders, it has been confirmed.
Show bosses have announced that the 23-year-old will bow from his role as Peter Beale, which he has played since June 2013, at the end of his current contract.
Details of the characters s exit are being kept under tight wraps as the show approaches its 30th anniversary and the climax of it ‘Who killed Lucy Beale?’ storyline next February.
Rumours surrounding Ben’s departure from the show started circulating yesterday (November 18) after he was linked with upcoming super hero movie X-Men: Apocalypse.
The former Attitude cover star was reported to be in the running to play a young Cyclops, with Interstallar’s Timothee Chamalet and Neverland’s Charlie Rowe also in the frame.
Hardy was among the soap’s cast members who stripped off for a Children in Need charity calendar last week (November 14) – click here to see the pictures.
Meanwhile, it was revealed earlier this week that an EastEnders actress has dumped her boyfriend over his gay porn past – find out more here.
Ben appeared on the cover of Attitude’s Summer issue earlier this year (June) – and you can see a shirtless behind-the-scenes video from his shoot here.
