Britney Spears being investigated over alleged incident with employee
The incident has been described as being "overblown" by Britney's lawyer, Mathew Rosengart.

Britney Spears is being investigated over an incident at her home in California which involved one of her employees, according to reports.
The ‘Stronger’ singer, 39, is alleged to have struck one of her home staff on Monday (16 August) – a claim the singer’s lawyer has denied.
Law officials say Britney is being investigated over misdemeanour battery charges, which is a criminal offence in the state punishable with a fine of up to $2,000 or six months in a county jail.
“Overblown”
The BBC reports that the incident involved the ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’ singer knocking the employee’s phone out of their hands.
In a statement provided to the BBC by Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, he described the allegations as “overblown,” and that the incident was “nothing more than a manufactured ‘he said, she said’ regarding a cell phone, with no striking and obviously no injury whatsoever.”
He added: “Anyone can make an accusation, but this should have been closed immediately. To its credit, the Sheriff’s Office itself has acknowledged that the incident was classified as a ‘very minor misdemeanour…’ and confirmed ‘there were no injuries’.”
The Beeb also reports that the Ventura Country Sheriff’s Office has said it will send its inquiry findings to prosecutors for consideration of misdemeanour battery charges.
Mathew Rosengart was hired by Britney last month during her fight to free herself from the controlling conservatorship that has governed her life since 2008. The singer has called the arrangement “slavery” and detailed in court the extent of its control over her.
Last week the singer’s father, Jamie Spears, said he would step back from his controlling position in the arrangement “when the time is right”. The singer has also called for her father to be charged with “conservator abuse”.
