Celebrities mark International Trans Day of Visibility

Numerous celebrities took to social media yesterday (March 31) to mark International Trans Day of Visibility.
The global event, which was created back in 2009 by US trans rights activist Rachel Crandall-Crocker, celebrates those in the trans community who have the courage and bravery to live their lives openly and honestly.
Take a look at just some of the celebrities that showed their support below:
Steve Grand, who recently argued that people need to remember that there is a “T” in “LGBT”, showed his love:

Orange is the New Black star Laverne Cox showed her support for Blake Brockington, a trans teen who committed suicide this year:

Outspoken LGBT rights support Miley Cyrus also chimed in on Instagram, saying: “Everyone at @happyhippiefdn [an LGBT charity] will be celebrating!”
