Charity refuses to accept money raised on an OnlyFans account because it comes from ‘pornography’

A wrestler who used his OnlyFans account to raise money for charity has had his donations rejected because the money came from ‘pornography’.
Dave Marshall – who is openly gay – started using the social media platform to raise money for the suicide prevention charity Beyond Blue and raised more than AU$5,000.
But after speaking to Gay Star News, the charity contacted him and said they cannot accept the donations because they come from activities such as ‘gambling, alcohol and pornography’.
They also asked him to remove any and all mention of the charity on his social media profiles and claimed that all fundraising activities must be registered.
Marshall said: “To me, money is money. It came from the heart.”
The charity told him he can either remove all mention of their charity and they can accept the money as a personal donation or he can accept a full refund – which he accepted.
“At the end of the day, it was a personal donation of my money but I don’t want to be quiet about what I’m doing,” he added.
“So, it wasn’t the charity for me.”
Since being rejected by Beyond Blue, Marshall found another mental health charity to donate his money to called the Black Dog Institute – who are happy to accept the money.
Marshall continued: “They are another of the bigger ones in Australia. As my father was one of the main factors in the choice of charity, it’s quite fitting.”
The openly gay wrestler also said he is going to double the amount of money raised for Beyond Blue for the new charity.
“It’s a cause that I am proud to help,” he said. “Now more than ever. I’m even more proud of the organisation for accepting me and my donations.”
