Charlie King on first gay kiss: ‘Stubble feels different!’
By Will Stroude
Charlie King has opened up about his first gay experiences, saying that at 29 years-old he’s learning about himself “as a teenager would do.”
In Attitude’s new special edition teen issue aTEEN, the former TOWIE star – who came out publicly last month (October) – has written a heartfelt ‘coming out diary’ in which he talks frankly about his struggle to come to terms with his sexuality.
Revealing that his first gay kiss only took place with a man he met this summer, Charlie writes: “I noticed he had really nice lips before, and again I was curious to know what it was like to kiss a guy.
“The kiss was incredible! My first ever kiss. It was just perfect and it just felt right! I was really nervous and as I was doing it again I thought, ‘Wow this stubble feels a bit different’… I left his house and smiled all the way back to Essex.”
“Do I regret not doing it earlier? I try not to have regrets,” he adds. “I trust where I am in my life and that this is my journey.”
You can read Charlie’s full diary, in which he discussing everything from his battles with depression while repressing his sexuality to his relationship with TOWIE’s Gemma Collins, in aTEEN, which is available to download now.
The launch issue also includes interviews with Tom Daley and The X Factor’s eight-piece boyband Stereo Kicks, while Dr Ranj from This Morning answers readers’ sex questions and debunks your sex myths.
