Leather, dog leads and everything in between were proudly on show in San Francisco on Sunday (30 September) during the 34th Folsom Street Fair.
The annual celebraton of BDSM and fetish culture saw an estimate 250,000 people take to the streets for a typically eye-popping display of sexual liberation.
First held in 1984, Folsom Street Fair has grown to become the third-largest single-day, outdoor spectator event in all of California, with revellers donning their kinkiest outfits to enjoy the more than 200 stalls and vendors displaying the latest in adult exhibitionism.
The event, which takes place at the end of San Francisco’s Leather Pride Week, raised a massive $322,484 for local and national charities this year, Hoodline reports.
In a nod to the #MeToo movement, this year’s Folsom Street Fair focussed on the issue of consent, reminding festival-goers not to take pictures of those participating without asking their permisson.
Of course, most were all-too-happy to post a selfie on social media – so whether you’re a fetish specialist or a curious first-timer, you can take a look at some of the eye-opening highlights of this year’s event below…
