Chris Pratt: ‘I flashed my penis to co-star Amy Poehler’

Chris Pratt has revealed that he once bared all to his Parks and Recreation co-star Amy Poehler. The actor was filming a scene on the hit US sitcom in which his character, Andy Dwyer, arrives naked at his ex-girlfriend’s house, and shocks Amy Poehler’s character Leslie Knope, who happens to answer the door. On set, Pratt was supposed to wear special skin-coloured underwear to protect his modesty. “That’s what they do in the movies if they’re going to pixelate out your junk area,” the actor revealed on Seth Meyers’ US chatshow earlier this week. “They don’t make you show your junk.” Pratt continued: “I show up in these skin-colored briefs and it’s the end of the day… I’m not quite eliciting the response that I was hoping to from Amy. She’s supposed to say, ‘Oh, my gosh! Your penis!'” After three or four takes, he told the boom operator on set he planned to “go snake out” on the next one to provoke a more enthusiastic response from Poehler. “I went trou-down and the reaction was awesome,” he said. “It’s the one they used.” However, Pratt went on to recall that NBC, the network that airs Parks and Recreation in the US, failed to see the funny side, and sent him a disapproving letter. He explained: “In the letter they did say, like, ‘Hey listen, you can’t do this,” he said, “and also, probably don’t go joke around about it.
