Comedian Andy Dick was knocked unconscious for 15 minutes outside a New Orleans nightclub.
The comedian – who came out as bisexual back in 2006 – was leaving the One Eyed Jacks nightclub on Saturday (August 10) when an unknown suspect came up to him and ‘sucker-punched’ him to the ground leaving him unconscious, the Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate reported.
Dick – who is known for being controversial in his humour – smacked his head on a motorcycle and fell to the ground and was ‘knocked out 100 per cent for 15 minutes’ before being taken to hospital and put into intensive care for a possible brain bleed.
Promoter Robert Couvillion witnessed the attack and said: “Some of his shows are a littler wilder. Every show is different.
“This show was mostly storytelling. He didn’t disrespect anyone… I’m honestly stumped, flabbergasted.”
