A couple who sexually abused a young boy after plying him with cocaine and alcohol have been jailed for 20 years.
Michael Riley and Jason Millar abuse the 13-year-old boy after they blackmailed him by claiming they had pictures of them snorting cocaine off his body in order to keep him quiet, the Daily Mail reported.
The couple also threatened to tell his mother he’d been taking the Class A drug as well as drinking and said he would be put into care if he told his mother the truth.
According to prosecutor Martine Snowdon, Riley befriended the child and his mother who believed the couple were providing him with support and guidance.
However, they were plying him with drugs and alcohol and sexually abused him between August 2016 to July 2017.
The victim’s mother stopped her son going round to see the couple and details of the abuse started to be revealed.
Police found naked pictures of the boy on Riley’s mobile phone.
During the court hearing at Liverpool Crown Court, Riley, 31, was jailed for 10 years and nine months whereas Millar, 44, was handed a nine-year jail sentence.
Riley is already serving a 22 month sentence for child porn offences and admitted three offences of causing a child to engage in sexual activity. Millar admitted to two of the charges.
Originally the couple had been accused of raping the teen but those charges were reportedly dropped.
The couple were ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life and imposed Sexual Harm Prevention Orders and restraining orders on them for 15 years.
