David Beckham is to appear in a special episode of Only Fools and Horses for Sport Relief.

Becks will make a cameo appearance in the one-off sketch, which will see David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst return as Del Boy and Rodney Trotter.

The sketch will air as part of the Sport Relief 2014 fundraising night on Friday, March 21 on BBC One.

It will be the first Only Fools material since creator and writer John Sullivan passed away from viral pneumonia three years ago.

Only Fools and Horses star Roger Lloyd-Pack – who played Trigger in the Peckham-set sitcom – died last Thursday (January 17), aged 69.

David Jason paid tribute to his co-star, describing him as “a very quiet, kind and unassuming actor who was a pleasure to work with”.

This year’s Sport Relief is more ambitious than ever as, for the first time, the public can make every mile count by choosing to run, swim or cycle at the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games across one weekend from 21st – 23rd March 2014.
