Doctor Who’s Jenna Coleman: ‘Capaldi is wonderful’
By Sam Rigby
actress Jenna Coleman has spoken about working with Peter Capaldi on the BBC series.
Jenna – who joined the show as companion in 2012 – said that she and Capaldi have “taken off like a rocket” since filming commenced earlier this month.
Speaking to press at the National Television Awards, she said: “[Peter is] great – of course, we all know he’s going to be wonderful.
“It’s been great to get up on our feet and get started – we just seem to have taken off like a rocket.”
Peter Capaldi replaces Matt Smith, who departed the show at Christmas after 2013’s exciting 50th anniversary celebrations.
The eighth series of Doctor Who – starring Capaldi and Coleman – is expected to debut on BBC One in the late summer.
