Dr. Christian to front weight loss show ‘Fatonomics’

Celebrity doctor and Attitude‘s own health guru, Christian Jessen, is to front a new Channel 4 show about weight loss, it has been announced.

On Fatonomics, contestants will bet their own money that they can shed more pounds than their opponent. Two dieters will go head to head in each episode, having both failed to stick to a weight loss routine in the past.

The show promises to combine competitive weight loss with investigations into Britain’s growing obesity problem, with a press release explaining: “Fatonomics will show why excess pounds can be as bad for our wallets as they are for our health.”

Though there’s no set air date, the show is expected to air either later in 2014 or early in 2015.
