Dutch duo storm iTunes chart after Eurovision performance

First Semi Final - 59th Eurovision Song Contest

A handful of Eurovision tracks have stormed UK iTunes today (May 11) following last night’s final in Copenhagen.

Netherlands’ entry Calm After the Storm has raced into the top ten, currently sitting at number four on the iTunes ‘Top Singles’ chart.

The country-pop track – by boy-girl duo The Common Linnets – was runner-up in the Song Contest yesterday, finishing second behind Austrian drag queen Conchita Wurst – whose Eurovision song Rise Like A Phoenix currently lies at number 16 on the iTunes chart.

Meanwhile, UK entry Molly has risen to number 15 with her song Children of the Universe, while both Denmark and Sweden are also holding positions in the top 30.

However, it looks as though not even Eurovision can stop Rita Ora, as her new single I Will Never Let You Down has shot to the top spot on the chart – making it a likely fourth number one for the Britsh popstar following her previous chart-toppers Hot Right Now, RIP and How We Do (Party).
