Elton John sued by ex-bodyguard for sexual harassment
By Ben Kelly
One of Sir Elton John’s former bodyguards is suing the music legend, claiming that he was the victim of sexual harassment while working for him.
Jeffrey Wenninger says Elton put his hands in his pants, attempted to grab his genitals and put his fingers between his buttocks.
He also alleges Elton told him to “get your todger out” and to “say hello to Uncle Elton.”
On another occasion, he claims Elton twisted his nipples and said, “You gorgeous thing, you,” adding, “You have so many gay genes in you, they just haven’t met up yet.”
Mr Wenninger’s sexuality is not mentioned in the suit, papers from which have been obtained and published by TMZ.
He highlights three separate incidents which he claims took place across 2014, before he left his position in September of that year, and that they all occurred when the pair were alone together in a car.
However, his lawyers say that incidents happened “on many other occasions” throughout his tenure from 2002 to 2014, “escalating in frequency and intensity after 2010.”
The lawsuit says Wenninger is seeking unspecified damages for being “placed in fear for his physical well-being.” It also claims that he “suffered and continues to suffer extreme pain and mental anguish to his mind and body.”
