Evangelical preacher Franklin Graham has thanked Donald Trump for not flying the Pride flag above the United States of America flag claiming it’s ‘offensive to Christians’.
The outspoken right-wing, homophobic preacher has been on a tirade against the LGBTQ community and recently called out Presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg for claiming to be gay and a Christian.
And now, Graham has called the Pride flag ‘offensive to Christians’ after Trump ruled to fly the rainbow flag below the country’s own flag this Pride month.
Writing on Facebook, he said: “I want to thank President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for making the decision not to fly the gay flag over our embassies during June in recognition of gay pride month.
“That is the right decision. The only flag that should fly over our embassies is the flag of the United States of America.
“The gay pride flag is offensive to Christians and millions of people of other faiths, not only in this country but around the world.
“The US flag represents our nation—everyone—regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation.”
