Father allegedly tried to kill his intersex ‘monster’ baby three times

By Attitude Magazine

A father in China has attempted to kill his ‘monster’ baby three times, according to China Daily.

Speaking to China Daily the child’s mother, Yang Xiaoping, said,  “We thought we would have a girl.”

“But soon we were told the ‘girl’ is actually a boy, with an atrophic sex organ. We panicked and got concerned.”

Her husband, who remained anonymous, attempted the murder because the baby “is neither a boy nor a girl” but a “monster”. He was allegedly arrested yesterday (June 22), after attempting to smother his child twice before handing out the task to his own father who abandoned him outside of their village.

“When I heard my son cry, I was in pain. My wife cried and I gave up,” declared the father.

“He could not bear to kill his own flesh and blood after all, and my father-in-law took over,” Yang added.

Yang however quickly changed her mind and went to the rescue of the newly born.

“After he was found, he did not eat for 12 hours. I was holding the baby. My heart is broken. He may be a monster to others, but to me, he is and will always be my sweetest baby,” she said.

“We are in a difficult situation. My husband was locked up, my parents have health issues and the two children need someone to take care of them. But what I worry about most is that my son may suffer discrimination when he grows up,” Yang said.

The child was born on May 13 in the Chinese rural region of Henan.

Born with both male and female genitals, intersex individuals are believed to make up 1.7% of the population, according to the OII (The United States affiliate of the Organization Intersex International).

This horrendous news comes shortly after a lesbian woman claimed that she would be suing the Chinese education system for promoting homosexuality as a disease.

And now more than ever, education is a life and death issue.
