Former NFL player: ‘Gay marriage is the work of Satan’

By Josh Haggis

Former NFL player Craig James has claimed that same-sex marriage is the work of Satan.

James’ former team the New England Patriots were one of almost 400 US-based companies, which included global giants Disney and Apple, who signed a brief this week that urged the Supreme Court justices to legalise same-sex marriage nationwide. Find out more here.

In a radio interview on Monday (March 9), James insisted that the brief suggests that the devil is working hand in hand with his former team.

“If I were a current player in that locker room and my livelihood depended on me being quiet or losing it because of my belief system, I worry, I wonder,” James told the Family Research Council. “So, that’s Satan working on us.”

“A locker room is a cohesive deal,” he continued. “A locker room is a place where everybody has different belief systems but you just get along. In my opinion, I look forward to seeing now, if management tells you and the coaching staff tells you that you better not say anything about the other side, you talk about implosion in the locker room.”

Sure, Jan.
