A man has been jailed for life after having sexually assaulted a 15-year-old boy he met on Grindr.
William Napolitano, 35, was a former school bus driver in Tampa, Florida, for more than a decade but in 2014, he coerced a 15-year-old boy into engaging in sexual activity after they met on the hook-up app, Bay News 9 reported.
He allegedly was in a relationship with the student for several years and at the time, Napolitano invited the student to view his collection of child pornography, invited him to watch live productions of child pornography on the internet and invited him to engage in group sex with other adults and minors.
The twisted bus driver also produced and distributed child pornography of the student, according to the plea agreement.
According to investigators, he would share the child porn with the Pasco County assistant principal Kyle Ritsema, who faces 30 years behind prison.
Napolitano was found guilty in federal court of sexually assaulting a minor and producing and distributing child pornography and was sentenced to life in prison.
His attorney, John Traveno, said: “This man had engaged in substantial cooperation with the federal government.
“He pled guilty early in the case, so what is his reward? The maximum? It’s just not fair.”
