Gay teen’s tweet goes viral after he secretly goes to prom with his boyfriend
A gay teenager’s tweet has gone viral after he reveals that he had to go to prom behind his parents’ backs as they wouldn’t let him attend with his boyfriend.
The teenager, only known by his first name Myren, tweeted a photo of himself with his boyfriend and prom date, Ralph, captaining it “My parents told me I couldn’t go to prom because I wanted to go with my boyfriend so I had to go behind their backs.”

The 17-year-old’s tweet has now received over 18,000 retweets and 40,000 likes on the social media site, after being posted on Saturday (May 21).
Myren has received an outpour of support following the upload by receiving the following tweets.
