German bishops have ruled that homosexuality is a ‘normal form of sexual predisposition’.
During the twice-annual Commission for Marriage and Family of the German Bishops’ Conference, the Archbishop of Berlin, Heiner Koch, issued a statement saying that any form of discrimination against LGBTQ people must be ‘rejected’.
Koch went on to explain how church leaders agreed that sexual orientation is ‘expressed in puberty’ and ‘cannot and should not be changed by any specific socialisation’.
It’s also condemns conversion therapy although it doesn’t specifically name the archaic practice.
According to the Catholic News Agency, the press release was published following a consultations with a number of high profile German bishops.
