Getty Images to make pictures of UK Black Pride 2021 free for media use
Exclusive: "We're excited to have our team on the ground at the Roundhouse capturing what will be an incredible event," a Getty Images rep tells Attitude

Getty Images is to make its editorial coverage of UK Black Pride 2021 free for media use next month.
Europe’s largest celebration for LGBTQI+ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American, and Middle Eastern descent returns on Friday, 2 July to Sunday, 4 July.
Typically a physical event, this year’s installment will be digital-first due to coronavirus restrictions and recorded at London’s Roundhouse. And an expert team of photographers and videographers from the iconic British-American visual media company will be on hand to capture the action, before sharing their material with media organisations far and wide.
“We reached out to them to see how we could support them”
Lisa Marie Rae, Senior Director Entertainment of Getty Images, today told Attitude: “We recognise the power we have to elevate underrepresented communities via our global platform and reach into media organisations.
“We had a relationship with some of the UK Black Pride team so reached out to them to see how we could support them with the celebrations this year.
“We’ve been working together to craft what the coverage will look like and are immensely excited to have our team on the ground at the Roundhouse and capturing what will be an incredible event.”
