Former Glee actress Charice Pempengco unveils her new look and speaks openly about her sexuality in an upcoming interview.

Pempengco, who played Rachel Berry’s rival Sunshine Corazon in season two of the hit US TV show, is asked by Oprah Winfrey on Where Are They Now? whether she has ever considered transitioning from female to male.

“Not exactly transitioning to, like, a male-male,” she replied. “Basically, my soul is male, but I’m not going to go through that stage where I’m going to change everything.”

The singer/actress, who came out in 2013, goes on to tell Oprah that she knew she was gay from a young age.

“I knew [I was gay] when I was five,” she recalls. “I was in grade school and I saw this girl, and I felt different. I didn’t know what it was, but I just knew, it felt special. When I was ten, I was like ‘Oh, that’s it, I’m gay.’ I found the word for who I really am.”

The full interview with Charice Pempengc will air in the US on Sunday (October 19) on Oprah’s OWN network. In the meantime, watch a clip below.
