Proving that the ones you love can always surprise you, a young gay guy has shared his “very conservative” father’s touching response to the news that he’s gay.
Reddit user Brett, aka Brett, aka ‘imnotaseese79’ decided to mark his 20th birthday by biting the and finally coming out to his already-suspicious father.
“My dad texted me first because he saw something ‘troubling’ on snapchat,” he wrote on the site. “I had called myself a faggot in my snap chat story when I was drunk and one of my siblings must have showed him.
The text in questions says: “Happy Birthday Son, I Love You more than you will ever know and I am sooo proud of you. I am Lucky to have a son like you.”
The second read: “Brett, I Love You more today than yesterday, we will talk soon.”
Aww. If there’s one thing we love, it’s a happy ending.
