Hot Castro cop goes viral: ‘I’m straight, but it’s flattering’

A hot police officer who works in the Castro district of San Francisco has gone viral.

An appreciation society dedicated to Chris Kohrs has almost 40,000 likes on Facebook, and he has also appeared on CNN.

The 36-year-old, also known as The Hot Cop of Castro, has been patrolling San Francisco’s historic gay area since May, when he was asked to work on traffic control.

Speaking about the attention he has received, he told SFist: “I’m not used to a lot of people coming up to me and taking pictures and things like that. I’m happy to do that. But — just the amount of people — it’s flattering. But that was something I had to get used to working in that neighborhood.”

During the interview, Chris confirmed that he is currently single, but dashed our hopes when he revealed that he is straight.
