James Arthur defends Rita Ora and claimed everyone is bisexual these days
The X Factor winner had a brief fling with the singer back in 2012

James Arthur believes “everyone is bisexual these days”.
The X Factor winner – who was slammed for homophobic comments back in 2013 when he called an unknown rapper a “fucking queer” – has jumped to the defence of Rita Ora following the backlash from her “bisexual anthem” Girls.
The single features Ora, Cardi B, Charli XCX and Bebe Rexha referencing their sexual fantasies as well as the lines: “Sometimes I just wanna kiss girls, girls, girls” and “I’m open-minded… I’m 50/50, and I’m never gonna hide it.”.
However, a number of LGBT+ musicians criticised the song with Hayley Kiyoko claiming the song song “does more harm than good for the LGBTQ+ community”.#
But following the backlash Ora took to social media to apologise for how she expressed herself in the new single and admitted she has had previous relationships with both men and women.
And now, Arthur – who dated Ora briefly back in 2012 – admitted he isn’t surprised she is bisexual and defended her for speaking publicly about her sexuality.
He told The Sun: “I respect people shedding light and standing up for the LGBT community – that’s a great thing.
“If that’s what it is, you know, and not an attempt for publicity, then fair play. I kind of assumed everyone is bisexual these days.
“I think most girls I know fancy other girls, it’s not something unusual in 2018.
“So Rita saying I kissed a girl doesn’t make me step back in amazement. It doesn’t shock. Each to their own, that’s great.”
