Jane Lynch says Ellen Page should ‘give herself a break’

Jane Lynch has offered her support to Ellen Page, who came out on Friday (February 14).
The openly gay Glee actress said she related to Page’s predicament – and advised the Juno star not to be so hard on herself.
“When I was younger, I lied by omission. She should give herself a break and not call it ‘lying’,” Lynch told People.
“But I know what it is to feel like you can’t be open and honest about your orientation. Good for her!”
Ellen Page came out during a speech at the Human Rights Campaign’s Time to Thrive conference in Las Vegas on Friday (February 14).
During her speech, Page said: “I’m here today because I am gay. And because maybe I can make a difference – to help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility.”
The reaction to Page’s coming out has been almost universally positive, with fellow stars including Anna Kendrick and Ricky Martin congratulating the actress on Twitter.
