Katie Hopkins joins far-right anti-gay website Rebel Media
The former reality star has joined the website following her departure from the Mail Online
Katie Hopkins has joined a far-right Canadian website called Rebel Media.
The former Daily Mail columnist will write a regular column through a new site called Hopkins World while contributing to Rebel Media with video commentaries and investigative reports.
According to The Guardian, the aim of Hopkins World is to “tell the stories not being told.”
Hopkins wrote in her first column: “When so many platforms are under the control of the Saudis, tied to fickle commercial advertisers or beholden to special interests and religious lobbyists, it is a real thrill to find a place for us to speak without censorship.”
“If you hear yourself saying: ‘I’m not supposed to say this, but…’ then I am here to reassure you that you are. Your views matter. You matter.”
She continued: “With this platform provided by Rebel Media, and the kind support of my sponsors, subscribers, and adversaries, we will be heard.”
One of the most recent news stories on the site has a headline that reads: “New California textbooks turn historical figures gay, trans.”
Sigh.
The news comes after Hopkins was dropped from the Mail Online after they didn’t renew her contract. The site was forced to apologise and paid substantial damages and legal costs to a teacher after Hopkins claimed she had taken her students to an anti-Trump rally.
In 2016, the former presenter previously caused the Mail Online to pay £150,000 after she falsely accused a Muslim family of being extremists after they were refused entry to the US for a Disneyland trip.
Meanwhile, Hopkins caused a storm after making a series of anti-trans remarks directed at Celebrity Big Brother contestant India Willoughby during the show’s launch.
