Katy Perry strips off in hilarious naked voting video – WATCH

As the Presidential race enters its final stretch, the stars are pulling every trick out of the bag to convince Americans to make the right choice at the voting booth.

Katy Perry, a vocal Hilary Clinton supporter, has joined a number of high-profile voices using their reach to encourage people to vote. Her latest effort, a collaboration with Funny Or Die, sees the singer waking up to vote and heading out to do so butt-naked.

“November 8th is Election Day and I’ve got some great news,” she says. “This year, you can look like sh*t when you vote. Yep, I’ve briefly scanned the constitution and nowhere does it say you can’t just roll out of bed and come to the polls in whatever state you woke up in. In the name of democracy, any just-out-of-bed look is a-okay.”

The video then shows Katy, recently met with an Orlando survivor in an emotional segment on The Ellen Show, heading to her local polling station, to hammer home the fact that you can vote looking however you want – even naked.

Or maybe not.

As the Teenage Dream singer strips off, she’s tckled by two police officers.

“I read the constitution, I know that I have the right to vote naked,” she complains. The officer replies, “Did you read it or did you just briefly scan it?”.

In the end she admits that you do need to wear clothes to vote. But she singer knew what she was doing – she previously tweeted that she was “using my body as click bait to help change the world.”
