Kelly Rowland is searching for the next Destiny’s Child

Singer Kelly Rowland, who was a founding member of Destiny’s Child, hopes to find her protégé on a new talent search show called Chasing Destiny.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rowland said her experiences with Beyoncé and Michelle Williams helped inspire her search for the next hit-making girl group.

“I think each generation should be better than the last, and I really want to put together a group: I feel there’s one just out there waiting to be discovered, and I want to be the one to do it,” Rowland said.

This won’t be the first time Rowland is mentoring artists – the singer had stints as an X Factor judge, both here and across the pond.

Chasing Destiny is scheduled to air later this year in the US.
